Mental Health Programming for Teens
Adolescent partial hospitalization (PHP)
PHP is a highly structured day program that supports teens with significant mental health symptoms. Our program stabilizes our clients quickly, allowing them to focus on functionality and recovery. PHP is often the next step after completing a residential program and is a great option if lower levels of treatment are not working. Our academic component provides support to students during treatment.
Adolescent intensive outpatient (IOP)
Our afterschool IOP can be used as an early intervention when teens first develop symptoms or as a step down from higher levels of care. Teens can enter IOP after completing PHP as they transition back to a regular school schedule.
Adolescent Co-occurring IOP
This is a specialized program for teens diagnosed with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Our adolescent co-occurring track uses both substance use treatment and mental health methods to help teens simultaneously recover from both disorders, giving them a greater chance at sustained recovery.
Tween Program
Our tween program is specifically designed to meet the unique mental health needs of preadolescents between ages 10-13 years old. This program offers structure and support catered to preadolescents and incorporates experiential therapy.
Transportation to Treatment
Lack of transportation sometimes prevents teens with behavioral health conditions from accessing much-needed care. In New Jersey and Connecticut, High Focus Centers is now offering transportation to teens residing within a 15-mile radius of our programs.
For partial hospitalization programs (PHP), we offer round-trip transportation from home to treatment (within a 15-mile radius) and for after school intensive outpatient programs (IOP), we provide transportation from school to treatment (clients need a parent or caregiver to drive them home at the end of the day).
Adult programming
Mental health PHP for adults
The primary goal of our PHP program is to stabilize some of the more significant mental health symptoms an individual may be experiencing, such as depression, anxiety or self-harm. The program offers dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training in addition to group therapy, psychoeducation and more.
Mental health IOP for adults
This is a primary mental health disorders IOP, which is a step down from PHP. Clients continue to receive group and individual therapy but with less frequency. We offer flexible day and evening groups to accommodate working adults.
Adult Co-occurring IOP
The co-occurring IOP for adults is a specialized track that treats mental health disorders and substance use disorders simultaneously.
