Mental Health Programming for Teen

Adolescent Partial hospitalization (PHP)

Our PHP program stabilizes our clients quickly, allowing them to focus on core issues and functionality. This is a highly structured day program that supports teens with significant mental health symptoms, and we offer an academic component to support students during treatment.

Adolescent intensive outpatient (IOP)

This after-school program can be used as an early intervention when symptoms first appear or as a step down from higher levels of care. For teens who complete PHP, they can enter IOP as they transition back to a regular school schedule.

Adolescent Co-occurring IOP

Our specialized adolescent co-occurring track uses both substance use treatment and mental health methods to help teens simultaneously recover from mental health and substance use disorders.

Tween Program

Our tween program is for ages 10-13 and is specifically designed to meet the unique mental health needs of preadolescents. This program focuses on social skills, self-esteem, communications skills and incorporates experiential therapy.

Transportation to Treatment

Lack of transportation sometimes prevents teens with behavioral health conditions from accessing much-needed care. In New Jersey and Connecticut, High Focus Centers is now offering transportation to teens residing within a 15-mile radius of our programs.

For partial hospitalization programs (PHP), we offer round-trip transportation from home to treatment (within a 15-mile radius) and for after school intensive outpatient programs (IOP), we provide transportation from school to treatment (clients need a parent or caregiver to drive them home at the end of the day).

Adult Treatment

Mental health PHP for adults

The program offers dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training, group and individual therapy and psychoeducation to treat primary mental health disorders. PHP stabilizes significant mental health symptoms, such as depression, anxiety or self-harm.

Mental health IOP for adults

IOP is a step down from PHP. Clients continue to receive group and individual therapy for primary mental health disorders but with less frequency. Our IOP is offered during the day and evening to give working adults flexibility while still providing consistent support.

Adult Substance Use IOP

Our substance use IOP treats primary substance disorder. Our integrative approach to addiction treatment uses a combination of therapies based on the unique needs of each client. This group has day and evening flexibility.

Adult Co-occurring IOP

The co-occurring IOP for adults is a specialized track that treats mental health disorders and substance use disorders simultaneously for better outcomes.
