Treatment Programs in Evans

The Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is an adult intensive, structured day treatment program designed for individuals whose OCD symptoms significantly interfere with daily functioning and quality of life. This program provides a higher level of care than traditional outpatient therapy while allowing participants to return home each evening.
The OCD PHP is grounded in evidence-based treatment, with a primary focus on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard psychotherapy for OCD. Treatment is individualized and tailored to each participant's symptom presentation, severity, and personal goals. Participants engage in therapist-guided exposures, skills practice, and symptom monitoring to promote meaningful and lasting symptom reduction.
The program typically includes:
Group therapy addressing psychoeducation, skills development, and peer support
Psychiatric evaluation and medication management as needed
Cognitive-behavioral strategies to address avoidance, reassurance-seeking, and compulsive behaviors
Individual therapy sessions focused on ERP
Family education and support to improve understanding and reinforce treatment gains
The multidisciplinary treatment team includes licensed therapists, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and clinical support staff with specialized training in OCD and anxiety-related disorders. The program emphasizes skill generalization, relapse prevention, and preparation for step-down care, such as intensive outpatient or standard outpatient treatment.
The OCD PHP is appropriate for individuals experiencing moderate to severe OCD symptoms who require intensive intervention but do not need 24-hour inpatient care. The ultimate goal of the program is to help participants regain functioning, reduce symptom severity, and build confidence in managing OCD independently in their daily lives.
