HIGH FOCUS CENTERS is the premier
provider of structured outpatient substance abuse and mental illness
treatment programs in New Jersey. With four
facilities, HFC is the largest and most successful center for
these programs in the state.
Our services are designed for individuals with
significant emotional or substance abuse problems who want to change
the course of their lives.
All services are designed to create minimal
disruption to an individual’s work, school and family life.
Depending on the population, treatment is provided during the day,
after-school or in the evening. For adolescents who require a full
day of psychiatric programming, a school
component is provided so that students do not fall behind in
their schoolwork.
We offer extensive family
programs as part of all of our services and strongly encourage
family participation. There are never any fees for family services
at HFC.
HFC is a private organization that does not
accept Medicare, Medicaid or state funds. Our patients are typically
insured and reflect the working population of New Jersey. Our facilities,
staffing and programs are designed to make our participants comfortable
and thus, better able to benefit from treatment.
HFC’s leadership has a strong reputation
for innovative programming and has an unmatched record of initiatives
that has changed the concept of what a substance abuse center is
and how mental illness treatment is provided. From creating the
first substance abuse adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP)
in New Jersey more than ten years ago, to being the first system
to pair an adult IOP with an ambulatory detoxification program in
1996, to being the first to integrate an adolescent psychiatric
partial care day program and an after-school psychiatric IOP in
2001 – HFC has been leading the way in behavioral healthcare
programming.
High Focus Centers is accredited by the Joint
Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and
is a licensed mental health and substance abuse center in the state
of New Jersey.
