High Focus Centers offers teletherapy for adults and teens enrolled in our outpatient treatment programs for mental health and co-occurring disorders. Using our safe, confidential video conferencing technology on a computer, tablet or smartphone, clients can participate in therapy sessions from home or other convenient locations.

What is teletherapy?

Teletherapy, also known as telepsychiatry or telehealth, is the use of electronic devices, such as computers, tablets and smartphones, to receive therapy from a treatment provider. This virtual service allows High Focus Centers to provide online mental health and substance abuse treatment without an in-office visit.

  • With teletherapy, our clients can:
  • Receive counseling from the comfort of home, even if they are not within driving distance of a High Focus Centers treatment facility
  • Meet one-on-one with a licensed therapist in a secure, virtual setting
  • Choose appointment times that best fit their schedules

At High Focus Centers, our teletherapy services are designed to help our clients achieve sustained recovery and a better quality of life.

About our telehealth platform

High Focus Centers uses HIPAA-compliant software platform to deliver teletherapy services that safely and legally protects Protected Health Information (PHI).

What is encryption?

Our platform uses highly secure, encrypted video connectivity to meet HIPAA privacy rules. Encryption is a process that scrambles data being sent between parties. The data can only be unscrambled by those with the “encryption key.” When you join a session, only those invited to the session (you, your therapist and other group therapy members, if applicable) have the key, which ensures that an uninvited third party can’t access the video or audio, even if they are able to hack into the system.

What about privacy?

While High Focus Centers takes all necessary precautions to protect your privacy, we cannot control your home environment. It’s important to be mindful about protecting your own privacy during an appointment. This includes making sure you are alone during a counseling session, or that others in the home cannot hear you. Visit our Resources page for more tips on preparing for a telehealth session.
